"Life in the Back Lane" is a 10x10 acrylic painting is inspired by memories I have had for at least 30 years. I used to live on the second floor at the back end of a rooming house on Besserer Street in Ottawa, Ontario. The only window I had gave me a view of the neighbours backyards.
